  • 2) What is an Default IME Error Message and how to prevent it:

    • A default IME error normally appears since Windows Mobile devices experience difficulties restoring multithreaded application from 'smart minimization'. To prevent this from occurring in the future, please close the application by tapping 'File' and 'Exit' and refrain from using the 'smart minimize' icon in the top right hand corner of the screen ( the X button).

    • Should you receive this error, simply soft reset the device by using your device and pushing it into the reset hole located to the right of the power connector.

  • 3) Is your Storm Hawk not receiving data?

    • If your Storm Hawk unit is not receiving data please check the following items:

    • i. Ensure that you are connected to the internet. To do so, locate the G at the top of the screen to the left of your cellular signal indicator. Check to ensure that it is a smaller G with two opposing arrows under it to indicate that you are connected to the internet. If you should not show a cellular signal available but an X indicator to the right of the tower icon, please ensure the device is not in "Flight Mode". This can be checked by tapping the tower icon at the top of the screen and ensure that Flight Mode is off. If Flight Mode is on, just tap the link to turn Flight Mode off. Once Flight Mode has been deactivated, tap the G, and then tap Connect GPRS to connect to the internet.

  • 5) Why is Storm Hawk not showing my location?

To have it display your location, you will need to go outside and startup Storm Hawk as normal. Once all data has loaded, tap the icon below the map that looks like a satellite to activate GPS. Three rings will be displayed to indicate that it has been activated and within a few minutes the map will reposition to your location.
